Uptown is an informal name for the area of north Tampa, Temple Terrace, and Hillsborough County generally within the bounds of Interstate 275, Interstate 75, Bearss Avenue, and Busch Boulevard.

Uptown’s emerging mixed-use innovation community formally know as University Mall. RD Management began purchasing and assembling segments of the property in December, 2014. RD Property Management, LLC, specializes in the retail sector. RD Management has over 18 million square feet of neighborhood and community shopping centers throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.

The origin of Soaring City can be traced to the establishment of the Tampa Innovation Alliance in 2011. In the decade-plus since, Soaring City has developed and fostered collaboration with a vast network of partners through it’s Executive Board, Advisory Board, and Community Engagement Committee.
